ECU REMANUFACTURE PROGRAMME
VEGE are delighted to announce the arrival of their brand new ECU remanufacture programme.
This includes an ´Own Unit Rebuild´ service - Fault testing and remanufacturing of customers own ECU´s backed as always, by a comprehensive 12 month warranty.
Since the 1970´s, ECU´s have controlled basic engine function & management, whilst now the ECU can control or process information regarding the vehicle´s immobiliser, throttle, ABS brakes, fuel delivery, body control, gearbox settings & cruise control: to name just a few.
In short, a fault within the ECU can manifest itself in countless ways, somtimes mimicking a fault within an otherwise perfectly operational mechanical part.
These Include:
Vege offer to collect & test the vehicles ECU for a nominal fee, and inform you of the results. If no fault is found, the unit will be returned with no additional costs. If the unit proves to have a failure, only after your authorisation would the unit be remanufactured - This would include the upload of the latest available software updates which could help lower emissions or increase economy - prolonging the Vehicle´s life and of course, helping the environment. Even if the original ECU proves unserviceable, we can usually retrieve information from within and program another unit to replace it.
The benefits:
Ordering / Enquiries
Unlike engines, cylinder heads & gearboxes, the type & specification of the customers´s vehicle will not necessarily tell us which series or model of ECU is required. Instead, we ask customers for the Manufacturer´s identification numbers from the ECU, to enable us to quote a price prior to collecting the unit.
Call us or email us: 01246 272227 / sales@vegeuk.com
Once you have your prices, and you wish to continue to the test/remanufacture stage, simply tell us when & where the ECU is available, and we will arrange a courier to collect the unit. In some cases, we may also require a key & transponder unit to carry out a test or overcome an immobiliser system. We will send you by e-mail or fax, our Fault Form with a unique reference number, to be completed and enclosed together with the ECU - This will help identify the unit upon receipt, and help us deliver the quickest service possible
